Koert's Second Notebook, Words
This is Koert's second notebook, and besides his contribution to Lotte's Poesie album, it is the only thing of his that still exists. At the top of the label, there was originally Hebrew, which has been erased. Below that, Koert first wrote his first name in capital letters in pencil, then erased it, and subsequently wrote his first and last name in smaller letters. At the bottom of the label, someone other than Koert wrote words.
The events G1 - G17 are from the Torah, all from the book of Genesis. starting from the front. Small pieces of paper with 8 Jewish holidays have been pasted on the back. Which holidays (sometimes also days of mourning) fall in which month of the Jewish calendar and on which day exactly. (see Collection)
Koert's Drawings
Below are the drawings Koert made. In every lesson, small pieces of paper were handed out with stories from the Torah written on them. The papers were pasted into the notebook, after which a small drawing could be made to go with them.
Koert made beautiful little drawings on several pages, sometimes with striking details.
